Happy Birthday Sergito

Sergito turned 2 last Sunday, on the 14th of December. We did not throw him a Birthday Party, but I think it is fair to say he had plenty of chances to enjoy himself over the weekend.

On Friday was our ward Christmas Party. Here is a picture of him having fun on the stage as he waited for his turn with Santa. Despite his unwillingness to sit on Santa's lap, there was no hesitation in accepting the candy cane he offered. It was a nice dinner and afterwards the primary kids presented a nativity skit.

On Saturday we went to Indianapolis where the Pendelton's were nice enough to meet us at the children's museum and let us in with their pass. Thanks! Sergito had so much fun that we had to force him to move on from every room so that we would have enough time to see everything, and we still didn't. Here are some pictures:

Dinosaur Bones: All geared up and ready to start his career as a paleontologist

Hiding in a cave by the excavation site

Enthralled by the choo choo trains

The ball machine: He really enjoyed his part in sliding the balls up the track to send them back through the loop. After every ball he'd jump up with his hands in fists and exclaiming, "YES!" as though he had just accomplished a great feat.

Carousel - you can't really see him in this picture. He's hiding behind the horse's head. We're pretty sure he likes carousels, because as soon has he gets off he wants to get back on, but you would never know by looking at his face while he's on one - completely stern, never cracks a smile. I guess he's just taking it all in.

SPIDER MAN - The superhero exhibit was a hit, though perhaps more for the father than the son

Emma and Brooklyn hanging out at the museum

After the museum we went to Wendy's for lunch where Sergito and Kenzie had as much fun running around in circles and giggling as they seemed to have at the museum.

On Sunday Sergito got to open his presents. Here he is in awe over his new pack of cars/trucks. As you can see on the left we also bought him a new McQueen to replace the one that got lost. Naturally mom found it on Monday.

On Monday we had birthday cake. His cake was ready on Sunday, but it was a long day so we saved it for Family Night. Mom sort of forgot to buy birthday candles, but Sergito didn't mind blowing out febreze candles instead. Sergito loved his cake, although I'm not sure he even realized it was suppose to look like a car. All he seemed to care about was eating it. Below is the video of him blowing out the candles.
