Happy Birthday Sergito

PARTY!

December 11th we had Sergito's first real birthday party with friends and games and of course cake and ice cream. Now that he's a "big boy" at 3 years old, I figured he was old enough to appreciate a true party. It was crazy fun with 6 moms and 13 kids in our little apartment.

Musical papers. I didn't have enough chairs to do musical chairs so instead we used colored pieces of paper. The only problem was the girls wanted to pick up the pink and purple papers instead of walking on them.

Sergito's only request for his cake was SPRINKLES! Hey, easy enough for me.


Buried in presents


One of his favorite presents was a spiderman shooting toy. It shot out silly string like spiderman's web. I tried to get him to save some of the silly string for when daddy got home so he could show him, but he went through the whole bottle in less than 5 minutes. It also has a tank you can fill up with water which is almost as exciting to him, but I've hidden it for the time being. Winter you know, not exactly the best time of year to run around spraying family members with water.

DECEMBER 14th

On his actual birthday, the 14th he had cookies at preschool and opened his presents from mom and dad, but other than that got overlooked since we left the day after to Utah, but he didn't seem to mind.

Opening his presents. That was an awesome punching bag which lasted less than 24 hours, because he got a hold of one of the screw drivers we used to put together his other present and punched a few holes in it. I tried patching it up, but much to my dismay it didn't work.


Sergito and Sergio putting together his new dinosaur castle. Actually, let's be truthful. Mommy did most of the boring assembly: putting together the walls while father and son got to do the fun stuff: putting on the dinosaur head, the trees, the catapult, the cave man's bone armor, etc. The dinosaur makes noises when you push the buttons. Sergito decided he wanted us to switch off the sound because it was too scary. However when Emma went up to the castle and found the noises to be fully entertaining, Sergito had second thoughts: After an incredulous, "That doesn't scare you Emma?" Sergito decided that maybe the dinosaur wasn't so scary after all.
