Well life hasn't changed too much around here. Sergito has started speaking a lot more, adding very useful words and phrases to his vocabulary like "stop that" and "over there" (this usually refers to suggesting that we place Emma in her chair or elsewhere so we can give him our undivided attention). He can now say "gamma" for grandma, and has developed a greater appreciation for books (for a while we were worried because his love for books was limited to 5 second fragments). Lately his favorites are animal books, monkeys and gorillas seem to be his favorites, although he also enjoys quacking like a duck, oinking like a pig, and barking like a dog. His favorite "toys" often consist of household items as you can see.
He keeps mom pretty busy most of the time, and when there is a moment of silence, I find myself deliberating: Do I really want to know what he's doing, or would I rather enjoy the silence a couple more minutes and face the consequences later? Fortunately Sergito not only enjoys making messes, but he also likes cleaning them up. He is most definitely the joy of our household when he is in a good mood. Unfortunately he is reaching the age where he seems to get more and more frustrated with mom and dad, either because we don't understand what he wants, or because we do and we refuse to give it to him.
He's enjoying being able to interact more and more with his sister (here he is giving her a turn on his cell phone).
Emma continues to be a very sweet baby who usually only complains when she needs something or is hurt. She loves to coo in response to conversation, and almost always rewards any attention with her beautiful toothless grin.

I have the same thought about finding out what they are up to--I know its going to be a mess, and will coming in two minutes earlier really make a difference?
They both have grown so much--its crazy how fast they become little people.
Sergito looks like he is getting so big! Sounds like you are keeping busy!
